Q500B modular rectifiers
Air or water cooling · Modular tower platform
The Quasar Q500B is a modular three-phase DC power platform for demanding electroplating and anodizing processes. Select an air- or water-cooled tower with the output, controls and enclosure required by the installation.
Up to 130 kW
Maximum output power
Up to 8,000 A
Maximum DC output current
5–450 VDC
Available output voltage ratings
Output ratings depend on the selected configuration. Maximum voltage, current and power are separate limits, not a simultaneous operating point.
High output. Configured as a system.
The Q500B combines stacked switch-mode power modules with current or voltage control. Manual or automatic control, amp-hour counting, ramps and waveform options support process needs. Air- and water-cooled arrangements, protection packages and optional coordinated systems are specified around the complete application.
Modular capacity
Match the tower output and module arrangement to the process. Available voltage, current and power maxima describe separate family limits.
Cooling choices
Choose air cooling or a water-cooled configuration, with enclosure protection and cooling service requirements confirmed for the installation.
Control integration
Specify the communications, plant interfaces and optional reversing or pulse output needed by the process.
Air and water towers. Application-specific enclosures.
Standard Q500B configurations use an air- or water-cooled modular tower. An optional IP65 flame-retardant PP-s enclosure supports applications requiring additional protection. Custom racks and protective enclosures are specified separately.
Q500B air cooled
Modular tower with IP32 protection. Confirm ventilation, module stack and service access for the selected output.
Q500B water cooled
Water-cooled tower with IP42 / IP54 protection by configuration. Confirm the cooling circuit, connections and protection package with ACRS.

Select voltage and current together within the specified configuration and power limit. Optional waveforms and cooling packages may have different output and installation requirements.
Dimensions & drawings
Standard tower body dimensions are shown in width × height × depth order. Height varies with module arrangement. These dimensions exclude optional protective enclosures and required service clearances.
Q500B standard tower body
17.87 in
Width
21.69–68.46 in
Height
19.09 in
Depth
Original drawing uses millimeters; body dimensions above are converted to inches. Confirm all mounting hardware, connection space and service clearances for the selected configuration. The illustrated air and water tower bodies share this dimensional range; optional enclosures require their own layout.
Options & accessories
Configure the Q500B around your process, controls and installation. Options are specified separately; availability depends on the selected output and system configuration.
Options
- Reversing output. Switch between forward and reverse output polarity.
- Lower ripple. Ripple below 1% is available on request.
