Q150 three-phase rectifiers

Desktop, rack, vertical or wall mount · Air or water cooling

The Quasar Q150 combines compact three-phase DC power with four installation formats. Select desktop, rack, vertical or wall mounting, with cooling and output ratings matched to your electroplating or anodizing process.

Q150 product rendering

Up to 16 kW

Maximum output power

600 A air / 1,000 A water

Maximum DC output current

Four formats

Q150D · Q150R · Q150V · Q150W

Output ratings depend on the selected configuration. Maximum voltage, current and power are separate limits, not a simultaneous operating point.

Process power that fits the work area.

The Q150 is a full-bridge switch-mode rectifier with current or voltage control. Manual or automatic control, amp-hour counting, ramps and programmable waveforms support repeatable processes. The selected mounting and cooling configuration determines the available output range and enclosure protection.

Three-phase input

Select the nominal input rating to match your facility. Ratings and options are specified for the ordered configuration.

Four installation formats

Desktop Q150D, rack Q150R, vertical Q150V and wall-mounted Q150W keep installation choices within one platform.

Flexible control

Choose current or voltage control with the process functions, communications and optional output waveforms required by your operation.

Four formats. Air or water cooling.

Current CRS specifications offer air and water cooling across the Q150 formats. Maximum current is 600 A with air cooling or 1,000 A with water cooling. The wall-mounted version has its own published electrical and enclosure ratings, shown separately below.

Q150D desktop product view

Q150D desktop

Horizontal tabletop installation for a workstation or nearby process. The enclosure body is 17.20 in wide × 9.96 in high × 16.46 in deep.

Q150R rack

A rack format with a standard 19-inch mounting interface. Body dimensions exclude rack ears; the Q800 cabinet accessory applies to this Q150R format.

Q150V vertical

A vertical enclosure for installations with a narrower footprint. Body dimensions are 10.24 in wide × 17.56 in high × 16.69 in deep.

Q150W wall mount product view

Q150W wall mount

A wall-mounted format with air or water cooling. Published wall-version voltage, efficiency, power factor and water-cooled protection differ from the desktop, rack and vertical page.

Options & accessories

Configure the Q150 around your process, controls and installation. Options are specified separately; availability depends on the selected output and system configuration.

Options

  • Reversing output. Switch between forward and reverse output polarity.
  • Pulse output. A 1 ms option is available for resistive loads; recipe, software and component selection determine performance.
  • Lower ripple. Ripple below 1% is available on request.
  • Industrial communications. Profibus-DP, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET and Modbus TCP.
  • Plant integration. Analog PLC interface, IOS terminal block and a communications-output enclosure.
  • Multi-tower operation. Interconnect compatible units for greater output under coordinated control.
  • UL-compliance configuration. Ask ACRS to confirm the required component and certification scope for the specific configuration.
  • Emergency stop. Specify the required external safety interface and control arrangement.
  • Enclosure options. Stainless steel is offered primarily for wall installations; other covers are available by special request.
  • Water-cooling controls. Solenoid valve and water-flow monitoring for applicable water-cooled configurations; integrated heat-exchanger packages have different requirements.

Accessories

  • REM8E remote control. 24 VDC / 24 VAC supply.
  • REM8 remote control. 85–264 VAC supply.
  • REMMT1. Rectifier test equipment.
  • RSM09A / PSM08A. CPU090 / CPU080 simulators, respectively.
