Traveling Field Service Technician

Location: Traveling

Take your technical skills on the road with American CRS Equipment! We’re seeking a Traveling Field Service Technician to service, install, and maintain rectifiers and power supplies (SMPS & SCR) across industries like electroplating, anodizing, surface finishing, and semiconductors.

About the Role

As a Traveling Field Service Technician, you’ll be a key part of our customer support team. Based out of our New Berlin service center, you’ll travel to customer sites across the U.S. to keep critical equipment running smoothly. You’ll work on all brands of rectifiers, not just CRS systems, making this an excellent opportunity to expand your technical expertise while representing a growing, up-and-coming company.

What You’ll Do
  • Install, service, and repair rectifiers and power supplies at customer facilities.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.

  • Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and startup services.

  • Train customers on safe operation and maintenance practices.

  • Maintain accurate service records and coordinate with the support team.

  • Provide professional, customer-focused service while traveling frequently.

What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience as a field service technician, mechanic, or in a similar technical role.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to XX% of the time).

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical certifications in electrical or mechanical fields.

  • Prior experience with rectifiers, SMPS, or SCR power supplies.
